DC Contracting is a company based out of Texas that took on a project in the Post Oak area of Houston. They were hired to redo the garage parking lot floor during the middle of summer when heat conditions were at their peak. This required them to stay on top of their concrete’s hydration levels so that the project wouldn’t go wrong and cost them more time and money to repair later on. With this in mind, they decided to implement SensyRoc sensors on their project so that they could make sure everything went well.
Installing the SENSYROC™ sensors on site
The installation process of their sensors was quick and simple. They started their pour early in the morning before sunrise so that they could keep the concrete as moist as possible. Then before the concrete was to be smoothed out the sensors were placed in the wet concrete so that they could start collecting data. Once the job was done, the sensors would continue to collect data and measure the health of the concrete so that any problems that could potentially occur would be detected immediately.
Key information in real-time to your phone
Through the early stages of this project, the key data point that DC Contracting was looking at making sure they kept an eye on was the resistivity measurements from their concrete. Our sensors along with our app allowed them to do just that and also determine the precise moment the concrete was fully cured and ready to be put to the test.
